On June 10, the Ho Chi Minh City Green Business Association (HGBA) was officially launched, with 52 members of the Executive Committee, including 17 members of the Standing Committee and 3 members of the Inspection Committee. The association gathers representatives from many fields such as industry, finance, energy, journalism, etc.
At the First Congress, term 2025–2030, Mr. Dinh Hong Ky – Chairman of the Board of Directors of Secoin Joint Stock Company was elected to hold the position of Chairman of HGBA.
Speaking at the congress, Mr. Dinh Hong Ky emphasized: “The establishment of the association is not only a procedural meaning, but also the beginning of a journey of joint action for a green future. Green transformation is no longer a trend, but a mandatory condition for businesses to survive and develop sustainably.”
In the period of 2025–2027, HGBA will implement many initiatives such as: Green Transformation Business Support Center, Green Business Hub digital platform, ESG seminars, energy audits, green finance promotion and product life cycle assessment…
The Association also aims to have at least 200 members by the end of 2025; at the same time, study the mechanism of carbon credit trading and build a green investment fund to support businesses.
Right within the framework of the congress, HGBA organized a seminar “Green transformation in the midst of global fluctuations”, attracting attention from experts and the business community.
